We braved the terrifying and horrifying underbelly of Hackney Central today to visit one of our favourite places in London: The Burberry Factory Store. It’s a pretty special place, not least because you can buy £2000 suits or a £4000 overcoats for a few hundred quid. Although that’s still probably a bit out of my price range, financially embarassed as I currently am. This is one of my favourite outfits Katie has worn to date. The dress and matching jacket are possibly vintage and were purchased at St Cuthbert’s Hospice charity shop in Durham, where Katie was at uni. She’s wearing the dress’s belt as a neck-tie with a Tatty Devine cameo brooch, a Liberty scarf as a belt and very cool vintage sunglasses.

Katie’s off to shoot her summer advert today so left pretty early. Today she’s wearing her new Irregular Choice boots (I know she wore them at the weekend, but they’re so cool I’ll let her off), H&M chiffon harem pants, and an excellent cameo brooch from Tatty Devine (a present from me).
This is one of my favourites! I think Katie always dresses best when she’s hungover. The shoes are Bronx, the dress is Lipsy, Katie made the wee pompom ring herself and I gave her the Tatty Devine broach. Great. Oh, and the watch is Katie’s Cartier Tank but I think I’ll do a separate post on that one day because it’s so cool. Now off to the pub for Friday lunch.

French Renaissance attire is apparently de rigueur at Mother. Katie seems to be channeling Cardinal Richelieu in particular. The silk tank is Pringle, I got the braclet from Shop 172 on Brick Lane, the velvet blazer is from New Look and the fantastic, ridiculous shoes are from United Nude. Oh, and the plastic cameo is Tatty Devine (I’ve got matching cufflinks).

Katie got VIP tickets to go to the preview of the London Art Fair from her agency and so we went. It was very busy but pretty good. I like how it looks as if Katie has a shining halo (unfortunately an accessory she isn’t able to regularly rock). All in all, a very Scottish look today I think with a nice tartan skirt (I don’t think it’s Mackay) and the Queene and Belle cashmere. As for the jewellery, do Scots like gin? (A: Definitely). We found the chain in Tatty Devine and got a matching gin broach for Katie’s mum. The family like a wee drink.
